在反病毒软件测试小组 AV-Comparatives.org 的测试中， Microsoft Security Essentials 恶意软件清除工具排名领先，在性能测试上还排名第一。

AV-Comparatives.org 测试的方法是运行一系列真实的操作、比如下载、解压、复制、加密文件、安装、运行文件，同样他们也运行一套自动测试。尘埃落定后，可以清晰的看到 MSE 是三款产品中既阻止也删除恶意软件的，同样在系统资源占用上也相当少。

在所有产品的测试中，Microsoft Security Essentials 是性能最佳的反病毒解决方案，也是在实际测试中获得“非常快”评价的2款软件的其中之一。从而获得了“advanced+”的排名。只要通过正版验证，Microsoft Security Essentials的使用是不需要付费的，现在MSE的排名不论是在恶意软件清除还是在性能上也在收费杀软之上，也许该是时候换上MSE了。

自Google推出Friend Connect虽然说还不知道具体是如何”Connect”的,中午在可能吧Join了一下，下午放学Gmail就来了封Invitation，点进去，同意协议，然后就叫你上传两个文件，rpc_relay.html和 canvas.html的两个文件到网站。然后就可以在自己站点上使用Google Friend Connect了，现在挂在本站右边的widgets中，估计是人气低了点，还没Members，还望路过的朋友Join一下，这样貌似可以得到Google的Invitation哦。这样的方式有点像以前Gmail的邀请函。

以下是Google Friend Connect的特性，我也看了下视频介绍，主要是提供一个站点交流，交友平台，有个好处：增加了网站访客的回头率，感觉不错。

除了Member Gadgets，还有Social Gadgets可让Member在网站上进行评论，评分，分享等，Moderate Posts貌似是个小论坛，因为没有Member，所以没测试，Friend Connect给出了一些使用这玩意儿的Demo网站，其中一个把Moderate Posts做成了视频分享网站，不过用的都是Youtube上的视频，不管怎么说那里已经组成了一个小团队，有自己讨论的地方了，看到喜欢的人，还可以加为好友用Email联系，或者加到Facebook，Myspace，总之太Open，太Social了，像我这样的nerd也得have a try~~

从去年6月Firefox 3的发行到现在，Firefox 3.0.4是第四次更新。 安全修复细节是：4 critical, 2 high, 2 moderate, 和1 low impact。

和往常一样，由发行注记可知，这个版本引入了一些稳定性和性能的方面的修复。

此版本新引入了两种语言：冰岛语和泰国语。保加利亚语，世界语，爱沙尼亚语，拉脱维亚语，奥西坦文,威尔士语在3.0.4 beta中用于测试，可能会有点翻译错误。

当Mozilla要求Ubuntu在系统中第一次运行Firefox的时候必须显示最终用户协议许可时，Ubuntu和其他自由软件社区表示不满，明显的表述Mozilla对计算机造成的影响不负任何责任和开源精神是不搭调的。

Mozilla同意去掉EULA提示，在Ubuntu 8.10中将不会出现。现在Firefox用户在第一次启动的时候将会看到以下信息栏：

看起来有点像是一个EULA的总结版，但对我们来说已经很欣慰了。我个人对之前的许可没有任何异议。

因为3.0.4的代码已经在上周冻结，所以这个改动将会在3.0.5之后生效。

总说周知，Google Chrome背后的开源版本是Chromium，Chromium的一个最新的一个编译版中加入了对脚本的支持。不过现在支持是有限的：只能从c:|script中读取，忽略了可以限制脚本在指定站点运行的@include标记。为了启用对Greasemonkey的支持，运行Chrome时需要加上这个参数：–enable-greasemonkey，

这个新功能由Firefox Greasemonkey扩展作者Aaron Boodman开发，现而今他在Google上班。

早在九月份Google的Sundar Pichai就说道“Chrome将会加入扩展API，Beta中没有实现该功能，不过我们必定会开发出一个扩展API的，这是我们下一步的打算。” 貌似Google Chrome将在发布API支持之前首先实现对Greasemonkey脚本的原生态支持。

• 最新的Chromium快照可以在BuildBot站点中找到，但不支持Google自动升级且比不上官方版本稳定。你所需要做的就是在最新目录下下载chrome-win32.zip。

Google管理员工具新增一个新特性可以让你知道“未找到”页面的来源页面。方法是：进入控制台->诊断->Web爬虫->未找到。在未找到链接的右边点“页面”链接，然后弹出一个该404页面的来源链接地址。

通过该工具可以知道有好多链接到本站的错误链接，以便管理员好要求他们更正URL。
