Firefox3.5最后更新：新logo

Firefox3.5(Shiretoko)即将发布，Mozilla公司正在准备最后一个更新：新的firefox logo。

所有logo比较：

这个是iteration 2,看起来最大的区别就是尾巴相当的”fire”。

步入Firefox 3.1至少需要两个beta

在发送到Firefox计划新闻组的一则消息中，来自Mozilla公司的Mike Shaver宣布Shiretoko（Firefox 3.1开发代号）发布前至少要经历两个beta的改进。

主要的原因是需要足够的时间来研发前几周宣布的一个高质量的私人模式，其他一些次要，但是敏感的改进也需要一定时间。

我们挖掘出了一点细节性的东西，以下就是一个beta 1和beta 2之间的核心更新特性：

  • 扩展TraceMonkey在DOM和系统其他部分的兼容性。
  • 继续改善私人模式。
  • 一大堆UI界面的改善，加入了其他浏览器和插件的优点。
  • 一些核心系统改善，比如PFS[Plugin Finder System,插件查询系统]和安全UI.

尽管没有官方的进度安排，beta 1的代码会在9月末冻结，所以beta 2应该是十月中旬发布,如果beta 2在11月发布，也许会在推出几个RC后，在2009年初发布3.1的正式版。

Mozilla要求Firefox在Ubuntu中显示EULA

TRS-80写到“Ubuntu即将发行的最新版本，Intrepid Ibex将会在第一次运行Firefox时出现一个EULA。Ubuntu老总Mark Shuttleworth说到‘Mozilla公司要求这样做的目的是为了让我们继续把这个浏览器称为Firefox…我倒是觉得显示EULA是最好的出路。Mozilla觉得加入EULA是完全必要的，’并解释说在Ubuntu中有一个未标注名字的一个浏览器包。许多的评论说Ubuntu应该摒弃Firefox,这样做是为了说明Firefox并不是自由软件，也就是说Firefox不能加入Ubuntu的main仓库中，并改为发布Gnome浏览器Iceweasel或者Epiphany,”一些评论指责Canonical公司在没有和社区商议的情况下同意了Mozilla的要求。

first write my blog under fc5 using mozilla

sorry to write lately at night..now it is 2007 年2月6日星期二00:48:11 i don’t want to use english to write my blog . but  i have to do that. because i haven’t install any chinese input software,for example chinput .i will install it later . i haven’t install firefox successfull at this period of time . i dont know why. tomorrow i must go to hospital to do a check for my eyes . maybe i will do an operation in my eyes because of the low-eyesight. what a pity !! i wont play computers for over a mouth .. the only thing i can do is to get ready for the exam that will decide which univercity i will go to . well,i don’t care which one to go . my major will always be “computer science and technology“.. the future is so far that i dont know how to go though/////

oh. shit when i enter “printscreen” button there isn’t any response. another problems to be soloved..
now i have to install some plugins in my mozilla web browser .the method of the configuration the the same  as firefox.first i open http://addons.firefox.com

and to open the pages of plugins that are available.
do according to the article then you will manage to go it well.

另外一篇自我叙述强文，当时还不知道Firefox和Mozilla的关系，因为当时Firefox还未流行之前，Linux系统默认browser一般是Mozilla。当时的YY现在有了结果，computer science and technology没进，倒是进了computer and computer application。
